Project

Medios Indigenas

“Medios indígenas” (“Indigenous Media”) is a project dedicated to studying the current relationship between Latin America’s indigenous populations and the communications media. This includes indigenous uses of the media such as radio broadcasting, photography and video, and social media on the Internet. It aims to explore and disseminate the situation of these and other media, along with the means by which indigenous populations express themselves through them. Our web portal “Indigenous Media” is designed both as a research project tool and an observatory and site for exchange between people and organisations interested in this subject.
